Primed jute canvases are a good option for those into traditional craftsmanship. Like in the case of the transparent canvases, we use thick, raw jute fabric, which is mounted onto stretcher bars by hand and then covered with two layers of gelatine. The canvas is additionally covered with two layers of a high-quality all-purpose acrylic gesso-type primer. Distinctive, slightly uneven texture of jute fabric remains visible giving the canvas its characteristic look. The raw edges emphasise the natural quality of the canvases.
